White Water Rafting 25th January

Back in January we spent a day battling the white water of the Urabamba River and then had a cooked lunch and sauna to warm ourselves up after a hard days work.

Sandboarding Cerro Blanco

Friday the 22nd we got up at 4am for a Sandboarding trip up Cerro Blanco, the biggest Sand dune in the world at 2080 meters tall. With our tour guide Raul we set off whilst the sun was still down. Within half an hour our porter fell ill so we had to carry our own boards. Took 3 long hours to climb and was even harder in the deep sand, but was well worth the wait! Stop for lunch at the top and admired the spectacular view. We got down a lot faster than we got up.

Football Tournament - 14th Feb

Us 3, Ben and Charlie - volunteers from the boys orphanage, sorted out a footie tournament with the boys. All very keen, things got underway quickly and we just about finished as the weather turned nasty. Neither of our 3 teams won which was dissappointing.
